The Lord calls his people to be strong.
Yes! be tough, Christians!
Dont faint or become weary, JEsus went through more than anyone on that cross, and even before the cross, he was " Marred more than any man" Isaiah 52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
Therefore, we who have recieved this life of Christ, ought to endure as christ endured. We have not resisted to death yet, we ought to be strong and not weak, and trust the Lord and not in carnal things to save us. The Lord endured every kind of trouble we face, and if we face something, just know that the Lord endured MORE
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Hebrews 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Hebrews 12:5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. -Book of Isaiah
Are you poor? I recall a time when the prophet Elijah had to be fed by birds! Ravens to be exact, and you have the promise:
Psalm 109:30 I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude. Psalm 109:31 For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save [him] from those that condemn his soul.
2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
Are you sick? I recall a time when there was a lame man healed by the people of God in the book of Acts. There were people Jesus touched, incurable people as the woman with the issue of blood, who spent all of her money on the physicians who could do nothing, but when she touched Jesus, her bleeding stopped and she praised God. JEsus touched a damsel and the fever left her, that is also scripture. You have the promise:
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; Mark 16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
brothers and sisters, there are many healing scriptures, but beware incase anyone tries to tell you that healing isn't for today. THey that say healing isn't for today, might as well say that salvation isn't for today, because the Word says that JEsus got stripes for our healing and death for our sins, he raised up for our justification.
Luke 9:11 And the people, when they knew [it], followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.
The Gospel stands, the great commision stands, also signs and wonders confirm the word.
Are you being oppressed by an enemy?
Isaiah 51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; Isaiah 51:13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
Yes, where is the fury of that oppressor, and as JEsus said:
Isaiah 50:8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.
Therefore we should always have hope that God will deliver us, no matter what you are going through for it is written:
Psalm 34:17 [The righteous] cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
BE STRONG, CHRISTIANS AND DONT FAINT, YOU ARE BEING WATCHED BY THE HOLY ONES, FOR THE SCRIPTURE SAYS "CLOUD OF WITNESSES" ALSO IN THE BOOK OF HEBREWS Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, ANd just who are these cloud of witnesses? Abraham, MOses, Paul, everyone is watching from heaven, becuase they are not loved more than we are, and they aren't complete without us, so they watch to see from heaven the race. NOw, the angels of God are watching, and God is watching, to see whether we faint like cowards, or press on towards the mark of the high calling. Will we run patiently, or get tired of christianity and our only God? Many in the gangs of the world who think they are tough and that they have endured everything, they haven't and couldn't endure as much as christ did, or endure what the Lord gives us to do. They would run and be scared at their enemies, but the scripture says
Psalm 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set [themselves] against me round about.
Psalm 118:6 The LORD [is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Isn't it sad that I've seen some people who wont even get up and speak thier testimonies? don't be afraid to speak, and isn't it sad that some people don't even want to share the gospel because of opposition? Hey, let me tell you, you don't know if Everyone will oppose you, even if it looks like it, there are secrets of the heart. A front on someone's face cannot tell you if they are really not interested in what you have to say. Don't be afraid to speak even if the world calls it the No.1 fear people have, we shouldn't fear anything. AS scripture says:
Ezekiel 2:6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns [be] with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house.
Ezekiel 3:9 As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house.
We should not fear what people can do to us, we should not worry about anything, and I garentee worrying won't make you taller!
