Of course God can sympathize with man and his faults. The whole purpose of Christ coming in the flesh was to live and feel as man does. According to Heb 4:15: For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are yet without sin. I know the world finds it hard to believe that anyone could live in this world and be sinless. Jesus was more than a man He was God plus man combined to reconcile the world to Himself. After He resurrected from that tomb Jesus became our high priest and now He goes before the throne with a perfect understanding of our weaknesses. The Bible says he ever lives to make intercession for us. Rom 8:34 "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Intercession means to pray for us. He can pray for us because He became a man and dealt with all the temptations we deal with. He became angry, He got His feelings hurt, and He cried and mourned the death of a friend. I'm sure He felt human desires and knew what it meant to be a man, yet without sin. The word infirmity means weakness. The Bible says He is touched by my infirmities. The Lord of heaven cares about my weaknesses. That is enough to love Him, but above all that He died on the Cross to pay the price for those sins. The verdict was death but - The eternal judge God Himself came in the flesh as Jesus Christ and gave His body a sacrifice for our sins. John 3:16 for God so loved the world! I am part of the world. He so loved me and you that He came to earth as a man to die in our place All the religious jargon aside, it is good to know that Jesus felt as I do. It's good to know that He felt anger, lust and many other feelings that are hard to put into words. He came as a man to show me - I can overcome these feelings and live above them. I don't have to give in to things which battle my mind. I can resist it and while I'm here He is praying for me! The God who formed me understands me and still He loves me. I know when I pray He fully understands what I'm going through and is fully willing and able to help me through it..
