        “You were in Eden, the garden of God;
               every precious stone was your covering,
                                                            —Ezekial 28:13

Ok, well there are bible verses now I am reading from Ezekial about the fall of Peru, the fall of Atahualpa and the grand Inca Empire in 1533 AD. Looking at this Coricancha (Inca Temple of the Sun), Santo Domingo Cathedral, in Cuzco, and reading the bible verses from Ezekial, I think one can try and draw their own conclusions. The verses are Ezekial 28: 1-19; as I interpret the fall of Atahualpa one of the last emperors in Peru. Substitute “heart of the seas” with perhaps—“heart of the Andes”, Prince of Tyre or Prince of the Incas and of course everything else seems near perfectly applicable.
      “Because you consider yourself as wise as a god,
       therefore, behold, I will bring strangers upon you,
           the most terrible of the nations (Spain or Portugal);
       and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom
           and defile your splendor.
                                  —Ezekial 28: 6-7

          If you read the book, "The Last Days of the Incas", you can see the similarities there, of Atahualpa on his royal litter with all of his gold and silver wealth and luxuries, who expanded trade and power through his wisdom of divine rule, very much like the ill-fated Prince of Tyre (in the bible). The golden goblets of chica, blue macaw feather plumes and his near triumphant celebration of conquering his entire Inca empire; only to have it suddenly vanquished by the foreign ‘bearded’ invaders. So perhaps it wasn’t really Christian of the foreigners to murder and slaughter thousands, setting up the modern day version of the New World that we see in Peru and the rest of the Americas, but it could easily be described as biblical. I would like to do further exploring on this, but I can’t help but believe that events like “LifeLight” owe their very existence to the conquistadores. And look at some of the faces on the program and see if you can’t see reflections of them today; of Friar Vincente de Valverde—him and the conquistadores, de Soto and Pizarro, the very first sponsors of Lifelight!
