About the author: I am a 42 year old, single African-American female who lives in New Orleans, LA. My skill or trade is working as a Certified Nursing Assistant to pay my way through college. I currently attend an online university, Ashford University. My major is Psychology. My future intention is to obtain a Masters in History at American Military University to teach at the college level and later to attend a local Unviversity for a dual degree. I would like my second degree to be in Museum Studies at the Southern University of New Orleans, in their online degree format. I am a born again, spirit filled Chritian who loves Jesus. I am sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost and I live for Christ daily, trying to stay on track with a purpose driven Life. I was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, CA. I left Los Angeles in 1997 never to look back except to say hello and visit family and friends occasionally. I migrated to the South Louisiana in year 1997 my first residency was in Baker, Louisiana and later Baton Rouge, LA and presently New Orleans, LA. I am a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church located in Uptown New Orleans, LA. It is a very unique ministry where the gifts of the spirit go forth with a twist of pentecost. We believe in prophecy, speaking in tonuges, word of knowledge, praise and worship and Holy Ghost dancing. | My faith story: | I was born again and spirit filled as a teenager. I was born and raised in the church. My great grandfather founded St Joseph Baptist Church in Franklin, LA over a decade ago. In St Mary Parish. I was reared in church and my family presented Christ to me at a tender age. However, they did not fully live the life of Christ as I know it today because they had one foot in the world desiring to party and do things that are associated with the world. And they had one foot in the church, not to say all of my family members were party animals but the majority were. I did not come to recognize that I needed a relationship with Christ until I returned home to Los Angeles, CA where I was born and raised. A good friend of mine who attended chruch with me and was my prayer partner as a teen, shared with me the importance of making Jesus Christ a part of my everyday living and developing a lifestyle in keeping with the standards of the bible. At the time I did not accept it because I had a very influential mom, in the negative sense who told me I did not have to live that way. Well as time progressed I began to seek God for myself. I began to read the bible more and despise things of the world more. I was a part of the youth groups and I was a part of my Christian charm group for teenage girls and young adult women that was led and directed by Glenda Jones a member of Bishop Kenneth Ulmers ministry, I do not know where she is today but her kind words and tenderness sticks with me today. I decided to leave home and attend a Christian University, it was the beginning of a life of discipleship and grasping the word of God for my life and existence. I did not stay there because I could not maintain my grades but God through his servants planted a seed in my life that is harvesting today and I am still growing in the Lord. He is perfecting me and making me more like Christ. And I am learning to sale out for the cause of Christ. I still need to work on some areas and move from being a bench member to a servant in the church, which won't be long since my Pastor said he wants me to be involved in the Womens Ministry. The only problem is I still do not know what my spirtiual gifts are except for writing, which my Pastor confirmed to me through a word of knowledge and many prophecies of how God would use me through my ability to write. I thank God for Jesus birth, death and resurrection Amen! |

Came back to the field of healthcare as a CNA/ Patient Care Technician but disgusted with infectious disease and politics in the work place but I have limited skills oh well God is good and witnessing to the sick is a blessing my patients are number one to me! |
